      Etienne is a Mechanical Engineer licensed in Quebec and Newfoundland. His 12 years of Hydro experience including 5 years in the repair and overhaul of pumps and hydroelectric turbines, makes him a valuable asset in the evaluation/recommendations for repair of turbine components. Etienne specialize with the use of the Laser Tracker, vibrations analysis and the writing of site-specific procedures. As a project management professional (PMP), Etienne can also assist you with the management of all or parts of your Hydro projects.

Douglas Leubner

       Doug possesses a Masters in Mechanical Engineering and joined Hydro Expertise as a Technical Director in 2012. Prior to joining Hydro Expertise, Doug had over 29 years of power plant experience primarily in the area of predictive maintenance and component troubleshooting. Doug has extensive vibration analysis training and experience and is also skilled in laser alignment, motor current analysis, thermography, lube oil analysis and root cause analysis as well. Doug specializes in hydro turbine generator vibration analysis and balancing as well as providing technical direction in the alignment and erection of turbine generators during overhauls.

Laser Tracker

Hydro Expertise has many years of experience with the used of the FARO Laser Tracker in Hydro Generator Power plants. Along with customer’s and supplier’s Hydro Expertise worked to refine and improve the techniques using the FARO Laser Tracker in the erection of Hydro generators.

Electronic level

Hydro Expertise is very familiar with the use of electronic level for unit alignment.
